A former L.A. County sheriff is blowing the whistle on his former colleagues with accusations that there is a group of them that make up a “violent” gang who call themselves “The Executioners.” Now, Compton Mayor Aja Brown is calling on the state attorney general's office and the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate. Is the Compton sheriff’s station being ran by a violent gang? One former sheriff says it is!

According to one former L.A. sheriff, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is being ran by a group of sheriff deputies who call themselves “The Executioners.” The alleged violent gang is being accused of patrolling Compton with force, threats, work slowdowns and acts of revenge against anyone who speaks out about them.

Austreberto Gonzalez, a former Marine and a sheriff's deputy since 2007, filed a claim against Los Angeles County where he says roughly a fifth of the 100 deputies at the Compton Station (CPT) are part of the vicious gang. Another 20 deputies are believed to be “prospects” or associates of the gang, according to the filing.

It’s alleged nearly all of the members of The Executioners have a matching tattoo which features a skull, Nazi imagery and an AK-47. The same imagery can also be seen on an officer’s computer mouse and pad.

“Members become inked as 'Executioners' after executing members of the public, or otherwise committing acts of violence in furtherance of the gang,” the claim alleges. Those involved in fatal shootings are “immediately” tatted during one of the many “inking parties.”

Black deputies and women are NOT allowed to join the alleged gang. No surprise there.

When Gonzalez anonymously reported a fellow deputy to internal affairs for assaulting a colleague that's when the alleged gang started to make his work life a living hell. Following the incident, Gonzalez said he was threatened by the “deputy gang” and was forced to take off work for numerous days. While he was out, he received a text message reading "ART IS A RAT." Gonzalez said he was subjected to abuse by the gang after he requested time off for his daughter’s medical issues.

As a result of the treatment, Gonzalez stepped down from his field training officer position.

The claim names Deputy Jaime Juarez as the inked 'shotcaller' for the Executioners, and details how he and the gang participated in illegal work slowdowns and stopped performing their duties so that they could 'impose their will' on CPT.

Juarez is said to have attempted to flex the gang's influence when trying to sway Captain Larry Waldie to change the Training and Scheduling deputy position. The role hands out shifts to deputies, a desired position for the gang who sought to use their own member to give preferential treatment for shifts.

When Waldie refused, the claim explains, Deputy Juarez and the Executioners responded by slowing their work. The claim states that the gang was paid full salaries as they did little work and costed taxpayers immense losses.

The claim against the Executioners says the members will act out against fellow deputies and the public to increase their rank in the organization. The claim alleges the gang participates in illegal arrest quotas after being reprimanded for low arrests.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva addressed the crooked cop claims during a Facebook Live session, claiming if his department had a gang member as a cop they won’t be a cop for long.

Villanueva later released a statement addressing the gang:

“I take these allegations very seriously and recently enacted a policy specifically addressing illicit groups, deputy cliques, and subgroups,' he said, highlighting a February police that made it so that officers could not form groups.

Recently, Compton Mayor Aja Brown, councilwoman Michelle Chambers and City Attorney Damon Brown and others, called on the state attorney general's office and the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the sheriff's station.

According to the L.A. Times, The Executioners are just one of several groups that operate out of California Sheriff departments that are inked and carry names like the Spartans, Regulators, Grim Reapers and Banditos.
