Tamar Braxton’s boyfriend David Adefeso gives an update on her health following a possible suicide attempt. Find out what he said inside…

A week ago, Tamar Braxton was rushed to the hospital after her boyfriend, David Adefesco, discovered her unconscious in their in the Ritz Carlton Residences apartment in downtown L.A.

It’s reported it was a possible suicide attempt.

Days after news broke about her hospitalization, the 9-1-1 call was released where David confirmed the “Braxton Family Values” star singer had apparently taken an unknown amount of prescription meds while simultaneously drinking alcohol. He found her unresponsive, and reportedly said he believed it was a suicide attempt.

During the call, he also confirmed she left a suicide note. In the note, the singer/reality star described WEtv’s leaders as “cruel white slave masters” who were “destroying a great Black family” in the name of show ratings.

Now, David is speaking out publicly for the first time to give an update on Tamar's care and health. He said she’s currently recovering at an undisclosed L.A. hospital and she’s receiving the “best available” mental health treatment possible.

”On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers,” David told The Blast.

“Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people. This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression,” Tamar’s boyfriend of about two-years continued.

"Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment," David said.

He said he hopes her fans will continue to support her during this troubling time.

"Mental health is a common issue, affecting 1 in 5 Americans," he said. "Please continue to send prayers and hope as Tamar continues the path to recovery and ultimate happiness. We ask to please respect Tamar’s privacy, and her family’s privacy, during this important time of healing."

Sources told The Blast David has been Tamar’s “rock” during this situation, but it’s alleged The Braxtons have been giving him the side eye. They claim they’ve noticed Tamar changed after getting into a relationship with David, following her breakup from her ex-husband Vince Herbert. Sources told TMZ Tamar's mood swings tend to align with how David is feeling. They also say "he's very involved in her business decisions."

As far as we know, Tamar’s new WEtv docu-series is still going forward. "Get Ya Life" is set to premiere July 30th at 10/9c. Will you be tuned in?
