Tiffany Haddish decided she wanted to see her scalp so she cut all of her hair off. And she let her fans watch her do it via social media. Now, folks are grossly criticizing her for it. More inside...
Tiffany Haddish is NOT her hair, so she shaved it all off to prove it, joining the likes of Sanaa Lathan, Tamar Braxton and Keke Palmer.
Earlier this week, the Night School actress took to social media to talk about how she was just fed up with dealing with her hair. In a series of videos, the comedienne explained she had been thinking about shaving her head for years, but she never did due to other people’s opinions. Well, she stopped letting other people (specifically men) dictate her life this week and decided to go for the Big Chop!
"I cut all my hair off cause I want to see my scalp," she wrote in the caption of her first Instagram video. "I know my whole body, I know where every mole is, but I don't know my scalp. So hello scalp #SheReady to everything."
Watch her cut her faux locs out of her head below:
People were quick to assume she was having some sort of mental breakdown since up and decided to cut all of her hair off live on social media. What they didn't know is that she has been thinking about doing it for a few years now. So, she came back with another video addressing people who assumed she was “losing her mind.”
"Why when a woman decides, 'Hey im gonna cut this hair off because I wanna see my scalp,' she gotta have a mental problem?," she asked in another video. "Nothing is wrong with my brain, you guys. I'm not suffering from no emotional sh*t. Nothing. I've literally been talking about this for years...how I wanna see my scalp."

Since the Girls Trip actress literally just cut her faux locs out of her head with a pair of scissors, she had to get it shaved to even it out. She shared a video of that as well:
And here's the final look:

After the entire process, Tiffany said she felt great about getting rid of her hair. However, everyone isn't feeling her new look. Folks have been grossly criticizing Tiffany for letting go of her tresses, comparing her Big Chop to Sanaa Lathan's:

Idc what Tiffany Haddish says. A woman shaving her head off is a cry for help

Why is a woman shaving her hair off a cry for help? IT'S JUST HAIR! Also, it's important to note, when black women do embrace their natural beauty and natural hair, the same people who criticize us for wearing wigs and weaves are usually the ones STILL criticizing. Keep it boo.
On the flip side, celebs like Viola Davis, SZA & Loni Love said she looks great.
I love the look @TiffanyHaddish !!!! Enjoy your cut!!! pic.twitter.com/Y9U0WRPaD0

Do you, boo!
In other news...
Tiffany Haddish is set to star and produce an upcoming comedy titled "Homecoming Queen." According to THR, the project is inspired by the true story of when Tiffany traveled to Africa thinking she was royalty, only to find out that that designation means something completely different there. Raamla Mohamed, a "Scandal" writer and a co-executive producer on "Little Fires Everywhere," will pen the script. Entertainment mogul Amblin Partners helped set up the project.
