Terry Crews has been putting his Twitter Fingers to work and has been getting dragged relentlessly for it. Weeks after tweeting about “black supremacy,” he’s back with another tweet about the Black Lives matter movement that hit a nerve with people. Find out what he said and peep reactions inside…
What’s really good with Terry Crews? He has been tweeting some questionable content that has folks side-eye’n him super hard these days.
The “America’s Got Talent” host is getting dragged by Black Twitter for ridiculous comments made about the Black Lives Matter movement. We’re not exactly sure where Terry got this information from or why he thinks this way, but apparently this is how he feels and folks are definitely reacting to his controversial comments.
In a tweet, he wrote, "We must ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn’t morph into #blacklivesbetter."
Ummm…who said that Terry? No one.
It didn’t take long for celebs, activists and fans to react to his tweet, suggesting that he misunderstands the Black Lives Matter movement and how clueless his tweet is.
Bernice King – daughter of civil rights activists Martin Luther King Jr. & Coretta Scott King – reacted to Terry’s post:
Several other celebs, activists and more chimed in to respond to Terry's tweet:
Another sleepless night thinking about #ElijahMcClain and
I woke up worrying about how to prevent my sweet special son from meeting a similar fate and
you woke up worried about *checks tweet again*... #blacklivesBETTER ??
We are aiming for equal!going back to sleep https://t.co/E7Cfr9WVsp

I’m a bit mad at myself for being even more disappointed at Terry Crews today. I thought that we had hit rock bottom. I didn’t realize I had any energy left for him, and that makes me mad.

can we climb the mountain that it will take to make Black lives actually matter before you start worrying about a slippery slope on the other side of it? https://t.co/ZUFq1X1bxR

This is unintellectual and irresponsible. You are developing into an enemy of the people. Ignorance will be your downfall.

Terry. what in the actual hell? this is the very definition of a strawman argument. why would you suggest a movement created to advocate for the prosecution of cops/citizens responsible for racially motivated killings could some how morph into “we’re better” pic.twitter.com/VmPbHiryAe

Terry Crews, income, education, technology gaps will take TRILLIONS and DECADES to flip to even getting remotely close to equality. Look at the ownership of our corporations, infrastructure. Time value of money on investments on backs of institutionalized racism. You’re ignorant. https://t.co/6avnJ3yyEn

Black people: We’re starving!
Terry Crews: But what about those who have more than enough food? We must ensure their bellies remain full!
Say what you will about @terrycrews but you have to admire his dedication to centering whiteness.
Ok... Maybe you don’t HAVE TO. https://t.co/5goyvuDreH

It’s truly embarrassing how you keep displaying your poor reading comprehension and lack of critical thinking
— Ira Madison III (@ira) June 30, 2020
well... a conservative white woman agrees with him? thanks for proving that the statement was hot garbage

In 1883, the Supreme Court claimed that a Civil Rights Act would make Black people "the special favorite of the laws."
In 2020, Terry Crews warned that #BlackLivesMatter will morph into #blacklivesbetter.
Demanding Black equality is not Black supremacy.https://t.co/Am7T2NzaEn pic.twitter.com/D2C3mrDmeW

And speaking of black supremacy....
A few weeks ago, the White Chicks actor posted a tweet how defeating white supremacy could create black supremacy if everyone isn't working on the same team. Sir, have SEVERAL seats.
Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth.
Like it or not, we are all in this together.

Of course, he got dragged over this tweet as well:
This makes absolutely no sense, makes very Black self-hating assumption that Black folks would actually try to do harm to White people in major ways, when there is no proof in history of any such behavior even remotely close to White supremacist behavior. Please read books, sir.

I love you as a friend Brother Terry. But I disagree with you 100 %. No such thing as Black Supremacy. That is a tactic that Racist whites use to counteract our rebellion to their horrific treatment of us. It's called Gas lighting. Black pride isn't anti white.
— godfrey (@GodfreyComedian) June 8, 2020
Black supremacy dont exist. There is no history of our people killing, enslaving, and making laws to instill power for 400 years for generations
— izzy. (@TheBronzeStatue) June 7, 2020
He then tried to explain his black supremacy comments and popped back at people who call him names:
I agree. I'm not discussing white people here. there are "gatekeepers of Blackness" within our own community who decide who's Black and who's not. I have often been called out for not being "black enough". How can that be? https://t.co/Tt9Og866x6
— terry crews (@terrycrews) June 8, 2020
Any Black person who calls me a coon or and Uncle Tom for promoting EQUALITY is a Black Supremist, because they have determined who's Black and who is not.

Oh, Terry...these problematic tweets need to stop.
