Meek Mill Defends B. Simone Amid Plagiarism Controversy - ‘I’m Just Tired Of Seeing Blacks Canceling Blacks’

Meek Mill comes to B. Simone’s defense amid her being canceled for allegedly plagiarizing parts of her self-help book. Find out what he said inside…

“Wild ‘N Out” comedienne B. Simone was trending online over the weekend as folks tried to cancel her for plagiarism. The TV personality was called out by several other content creators for allegedly stealing portions of their work for her new book, “Baby Girl: Manifest the Life You Want.”

Now, rapper Meek Mill is coming to her defense to combat cancel culture.

"B Simone canceled because she finnesed a book and made her way from the bottom lol what major companies y’all cancel for ripping our culture off? finding ways to display hate towards our own when they start doing good is showing amongst us a lot!" Meek tweeted in defense of B. Simone.

The CHAMPIONSHIPS rapper said he was confused why the black community was attacking her for “finessing” her way to the top. He then began to point out how people from different races and big brands who steal from black culture, yet, the community still supports them.

”Ya local Chinese store never gave a free day of food won’t even let you ride if you a dollar short... Saudia prolly spent a million on our hood in charity... but I only see my hood going in on the black lady? I can’t rock wit that ... stop letting these people play us!,” he tweeted.

"I see guys on here that shot whole neighborhoods up talking about b Simone canceled lol it’s really unbelievable," he continued.

The new dad-again told his fans he has been busy coming up with ways to give back to the community instead of looking for negative things to complain about.

In another tweet, Meek sad he doesn't even know what she did, but explained why he spoke out.

“I never even checked what she really did I’m just tired of seeing black cenceling blacks… they got us ranked in last place already chill with that shit," he tweeted.

Former "Basketball Wives" star Laura Govan also came to B. Simone's defense, comparing her situation with Kylie Jenner appropriating black culture:

“So here’s what I’m talking about!!! YALL CAN MAKE KYLIE A ALMOST BILLION AND BUY HER PRODUCTS AND SHE STOLE UR WHOLE BODY – Lips/butt everything (and I Like Kylie) BUT YA”” DRAG B-SIMONE FOR GIVING YALL SOME PAGES COPIED OUT OF A BOOK Just to make a few dollars… Com on World we gotta support better … #SlaveMentality @kyliejenner @thebsimone,” Laura wrote.

To be fair, Kylie was PROPERLY dragged too (we pride ourselves on doing so) for being the culture vulture she (well, her entire family) is. But her hordes of barely teenaged white supporters don't know or care about culture vulturing.

B. Simone took to her IG to apologize:

I have built my career on complete transparency and vulnerability. I have shared my lows and have celebrated my highs for the world to see, and this moment wont be any different. I want to be honest with you all ALWAYS! Like most creatives I outsourced a team to help me with the details, the graphics, the wording, the arrangement of my book. I trusted this team of individuals to take my vision and translate it into what I hoped to be a map towards manifestation. I have reached out directly to every content creator that was disadvantaged an I am doing everything I can to fix this issue and make everyone whole. Even though this was not intentional, I am still so very sorry to the content creators and i understand their frustration 100%. To my supporters I apologize, you trust me to deliver honesty and authenticity and although some things were done without my knowledge I am the leader and I dropped the ball. I am working everyday to be a better human, a better woman, a better professional, and to do that successfully I have to own my shit. Thank you to those of you who have supported me. I am genuinely sorry that this happened and I vow to make it right

People have been sounding off about B. Simone's "come up" and there are a lot of people who are upset at B. Simone for trying to finesse her own. Yes, people who aren't black are always stealing pieces of our culture, white-washing it and reselling it to us as if its new. Some people seem to be more upset that a black woman would try and make a quick come up without actually putting in the work especially when there are people who have put in the work and can only wish to receive a platform such as hers. It's important to note, a few accusers who claim B. Simone stole from them are black as well.

What are your thoughts?
