The gospel Verzuz vibes are coming. And we’re glad because it’s def needed right now in the wake of social unrest due to George Floyd's killing.
Gospel legends Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond will help lift our spirits during a gospel Verzuz battle, which will be the first battle between gospel artists. The event has been dubbed “The Healing” and Bishop T.D. Jakes will bless the IG Live with some uplifting words to kick things off.
"Timb & I had to call a few of our friends!!," Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz wrote on Instagram. As for new music...
Skip Marley - son of Bob Marley - just dropped his new single "No Love," following his smash hit with H.E.R. titled, "Slow Down."
The new single serves up gritty reggae vibes, using a sample from Wu-Tang Clan’s “Tearz” track from their 1993 debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
”No Love,” co-written by Sebastian Kole, Trey Campbell, with mentor and Marley family friend, the iconic Betty Wright, who passed away earlier this month.

Another new track...
Rapper Aminé drops his new track "RIRI," named after Rihanna who just celebrated a milestone of 15 years in the music biz earlier this week. On the track, he raps about a chick he's dealing with who compares herself to RiRi that broke his heart three times. The track ends with a skit from writer/actor Jak Knight, who is a writer on "black-ish."

R&B King Ne-Yo teams up with Jeremih for his new single "U 2 Luv," a romantic track from his forthcoming album. The R&B crooners collaborated with producers Retro Future and NE-YO’s longtime collaborator, Curtis "Sauce" Wilson, to record the song, which smoothly interpolates elements of two classic 1980s hits – Mtume's “Juicy Fruit” and Zapp’s “Computer Love.” Nice!
Also, Ne-Yo has teamed up with Postmates to support healthcare heroes caring for COVID-19 patients to celebrate the launch of the new single. Tonight, hero nurses in the ICU at Emory Medical Center in Atlanta will be 'Postmated' meals from Subway during their breaks thanks to Ne-Yo, Postmates and Feed Hero Nurses, a volunteer-run organization in partnership with Random Acts that is dedicated to providing meals to nurses on the frontlines. Loves it.
