It’s a war of words between Donald Trump and NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo! Get the latest on their public spat, plus deets on New York possibly being past its Coronavirus peak inside…

Donald Trump and NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo are going at it!

While briefing the state of New York on Coronavirus updates, Gov. Cuomo criticized Trump for first saying he had all the power and could use that power to tell governors of the United States to open their states. Then, he switched it up and said re-opening up the states will be up to the governors.

That didn’t sit well with Cuomo, so he spoke on it:

These comments apparently set Trump off, so he hopped on Twitter to clap back at Gov. Cuomo.

"Governor Cuomo should spend more time 'doing' and less time 'complaining,'" Trump tweeted. "Get out there and get the job done. Stop talking! We built you thousands of hospital beds that you didn’t need or use, gave large numbers of Ventilators that you should have had, and helped you with testing that you should be doing. We have given New York far more money, help and equipment than any other state, by far, & these great men & women who did the job never hear you say thanks. Your numbers are not good. Less talk and more action!"

Trump posted these tweets during one of Cuomo's press briefings, which means he was tuned in. A reporter in the press briefing caught wind of Trump's tweets and asked Cuomo about it. And Gov. Cuomo ETHERED Trump with his response:

Listen, don't come for Cuomo unless he sends for you!

"First of all, if he’s sitting home watching TV, maybe he should get up and go to work, right?,” Cuomo asked in response to Trump's tweets. "Second, let's keep emotion and politics out of this and personal ego if we can because this is about the people and it's about our jobs. Let's try to focus on that," he continued.

Cuomo then addressed the president’s suggestions that New York built too many hospital beds. “They are your projections, Mr. President, so were we foolish for relying on your projections, Mr. President?”

Bloop! Peep the full clip above.

We all know Trump's petty levels stay high - even during a global pandemic - and he responded to Cuomo during his White House press briefing yesterday. This time, he played an edited video of Gov. Cuomo praising the federal government's response and efforts amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the first clip, Cuomo said, "What the federal government did, working with states ... was a phenomenal accomplishment."

When he first played the video, it stopped short with Trump telling reporters his staff "left the good part out."

Later, Trump came back with the "good part" he wanted shown earlier.

In the second clip, Cuomo said, "These were just extraordinary efforts and acts of mobilization, and the federal government stepped up and was a great partner, and I'm the first to say it. We needed help and they were there."

Afterwards, Trump told reporters he played the clips in celebration of bipartisan unity in response to the crisis. Of course, Trump left out all of Cuomo's criticism of him and his actions during this pandemic.

Trump also read more positive reviews of his actions. Check it:

The delusion is REAL.

Speaking of New York...

New York is no where near out of the COVID-19 woods, but it seems the numbers are going down and that New York could be past the peak. Social distancing is flattening the curve in New York. Daily new deaths are seemingly leveling off/dropping and new COVID-19 hospitalizations are also in decline.

While there are people across the nation protesting to have the United States re-opened, we need to KEEP doing what we're doing so the curve will continue to flatten.
