Aaron Hernandez’s Fiancée Shayanna Jenkins Breaks Her Silence On Sexuality Rumors In Netflix Doc – ‘If He Did Feel That Way, I Wish I Was Told’

Shayanna Jenkins – the fiancée to former NFL player Aaron Hernandez – breaks her silent following the release of the Netflix documentary that chronicled the former Patriot’s player complicated life. Find out her reaction to speculation of his sexual identity in the docu-series more inside…

Earlier this month, Netflix released Aaron Hernandez's three-part docu-series “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez” and it sent shockwaves through social media.

The three-part documentary pieced together the former New England Patriots player's life and events that led up to him committing suicide in April 2017 after he was acquitted for a double murder. He was already serving a life sentence after he was found guily for the murder of his friend/semi-pro player Oldin Lloyd. Viewers were given a sneak peek into his life through interviews with people who were closest to the tight end, including friends and former teammates.

For some viewers, they felt the docu-series focused heavily on Aaron’s struggles with his sexuality. His high school teammates/childhood friend Dennis SanSoucie, who played football with him at Bristol Central High School in Connecticut, alleged in the documentary that they participated in a sexual relationship, but kept it lowkey.

My thoughts are heavy today - this being one of my hard days . I'm sitting here thinking how can I be so lucky but so hurt . Lucky to have a daughter to remind me of your smile and great personality, and hurt to realize I'll never speak to you again ! Everyday I wake up in pain and realize this is a nightmare that will never change . God only knows I try everyday to pick up these broken pieces but the challenge remains extremely difficult. What I've known for years has now vanished although I'm reminded and told to keep strong ... the task at hand remains traumatic! However , I know what you would've wanted was for me to be that girl that made you smile ... the one who will ride until the end ( which I will ) ,that thought has been my motivation to strive as a better mother and a better person for our future . Until I see you again please know not a man in the world can replace you ! I love you my angel !!! #mybestfriend#mylover#mysoulmate#Aviellesdaddy#amanofhisword#Oursuperman

Now, his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins – who stood by his side until the end – is speaking out for the first time since the documentary aired. She and Aaron have an 8-year-old daughter, Avielle Janelle Hernandez, who was 5-years-old when her father took his life.

In an interview with “Good Morning America,” Shayanna said she was unaware that the late Patriots tight end was bisexual or gay or even battling with his sexuality. “Although I have a child with Aaron, I still can’t tell you how he was feeling inside,” she said in the interview. “If he did feel that way or if he felt that urge, I wish I was told.”

She said she wouldn’t have "loved him any differently" if he was bisexual or gay, and she wishes she was able to tell him that. Aaron’s attorney, Jose Baez, was also interviewed and talked about what upset him about the documentary.

Peep the clip below:

Shayanna gave birth to a second daughter with an amateur boxer/bar owner named Dino Guilmette in 2018.  It's unclear if they are still together.
