Lizzo came to slay for her Grammys debut! And she also copped awards. More inside…
Lizzo has arrived!
The “Feeling Good As Hell” singer made her Grammy debut in full GLAM, rocking a winter white Atelier Versace gown with a white fur stole and chick totally slayed. She has come a long way from a “band nerd”, that’s for sure.
The 31-year-singer/classically trained flutist led the pack this year with eight Grammy nominations for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards and she has already copped three!
The Body Positivity Queen won Best Urban Contemporary Album for her debut album Cuz I Love You, Best Traditional R&B Performance for her hit single "Jerome" and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Truth Hurts."
During her acceptance speech for Best Pop Solo Performance, she fought back tears as she shared how winning the Grammy was "unexpected" and "really cool" while remembering Kobe Bryant.
“This whole week, I been lost in my problems - stressed out. And then in an instant, all of that can go away and your priorities really shift. Today, all of my little problems that I thought were big as the world were gone. I realize that there are people really hurting right now,” she said.
“You guys create beautiful music," she continued. "You guys create connectivity and as I’m speaking to all of you in this room, we need to continue to reach out. This is the beginning of making music that moves people again. Making music that makes people feel good, that liberates people.”

When she hit the stage to open this year’s awards show, she yelled out “This Is For Kobe!” in honor of the legend who tragically passed away today.
