The prodigal comedian returns! Kevin Hart made his first official appearance since his car crash on last night's People's Choice Awards stage. Watch his heartfelt speech as he once again accepted the Comedy Award, inside.
At E! 2019 People's Choice Awards last night, actor & comedian Kevin Hart won Comedy Act of 2019 and walked on stage unassisted and like his old self again.
He accepted his award by thanking God and the fans for their support since his horrible car accident two months ago. The Jumanji star - who released a personal video of his journey back to health last month - said to the audience:
"First and foremost I thank God, because I definitely don't have to be here. Being that I am makes me appreciate life even more. Makes me appreciate things that matter - family. I want to thank my wife and kids, they really stepped up to the plate for me....the people man, you have no idea the affect you have on us as entertainers. Your energy, your support, it means the world. I truly want to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time."
Before taking the stage, he made his first red carpet appearance alongside his daughter, Heaven, and wife, Eniko, to kick off his official comeback.
Afterwards, Robert Downey Jr. presented Kevin with his award, and then snapped it up with him backstage. Kevin shouted him out during his speech saying he's been a fan.
Looks like Kev will be A-OK. And we're happy to see it.
