Tensions came to a head between Wendy Williams' estranged husband and her son. And it got physical.

Ish got so heated between Wendy's estranged husband Kevin Hunter Sr. and their son, Kevin Jr., the cops are now investigating to find out what exactly happened. What we do know it, Kevin Sr. and Kevin Jr. got into it and it got UGLY. According to TMZ, the Kevin Sr. vs Kevin Jr. fight went down early Wednesday morning in a store parking lot near the family's home in New Jersey. It must be their old home because Wendy recently revealed she moved into a bomb apartment in NYC.

Back to the story, 18-year-old Kevin Jr. went to the old home to pick up some things. The daytime TV host dropped him off and was coming back later to pick him up. Apparently, Kevin Jr. didn't know his dad was in the house when he got there. However, everything was cool and they ended up going to a store together a little after midnight.

So check it, Kevin Sr. & Kevin Jr. allegedly got into an argument over Kevin Sr.'s demand for spousal support from Wendy. It's reported Kevin Sr. is upset because he feels like Wendy is "brainwashing" their son against him.

The site reports:

Our sources say it got physical when Kevin Sr. allegedly put his son in a headlock, and we're told Kevin Jr. punched him in the nose to break the hold. Cops have confirmed to TMZ they are investigating "an incident" between Kevin and Kevin Jr.

Cops were called to the scene, but it's unclear if anyone was arrested.

This is just the latest in the ongoing drama between Wendy and her estranged husband. As you know, she pulled the trigger on a divorce back in April after it eas reported that Kevin allegedly had a baby with his alleged mistress. After the divorce was filed, Wendy started getting her ducks in order, getting treatment in a sober house, firing Kevin Sr. as her manager and getting rid of him as executive producer of her hit daytime talk show.

In response, Kevin Sr. has requested spousal AND child support from Wendy. This guy....

By the way, Wendy recently announced she decided to pull the plug on The Hunter Foundation, which she co-founded with her estranged husband. Kevin Sr. just released a statement to address the news about the foundation and revealed he's going to continue with the philanthropic work by launching a new foundation.

“Although The Hunter Foundation in its current form will dissolve, the important work will live on,” he said in a statement to Page Six. “I plan on launching a new foundation in the near future to continue the important mission in helping those struggling with drug addiction and substance abuse.”

He also said the substance abuse resource hotline he and Wendy launched in March will be going on a “brief hiatus.”
