Common's new video for "I Want You" sparked the rumorville when Kerry Washington signed on to co-direct it. While those two are in a much rumored romance, Alicia Keys, Kanyeezie, Will.I.Am, and Serena Williams are all up in the vid too. Common's people hit YBF with some words from Mr. Sexy himself:

"Kerry and I have always admired each others work and always wanted to collaborate on a project. When we began planning for the video for "I Want You," I reached out to Kerry to star in it and it developed into her directing. She had a strong vision for the song that grabbed me from the start so we got our cast and crew together and made it happen," states Common.

Mmmhmm. I'll be watching. And it doesn't hurt that the track is uberly hot. The Def Jam offices clearly sent out a memo to everybody on the label to go hit up Ne-Yo's b-day party at Tribeca Rooftop last night: His mom and good friend Rih Rih were there. Damn those lips.... Cuteness. Beanie Sigel, DJ Clue, and Melyssa Ford all came out. JD and Janet got their cute couple on. Laurie Anne and BJ Coleman were there. Damn Laurie Ann... Chingy and his new beefed up status kicked it with LL. Chrisette Michele was there to sing to the birthday boy. Too bad folks at Def Jam played her on the promo tip. Good to see she's not bitter. The Pres. came out out of course: Did Ty Ty, Ne-Yo, Steve Stoute, and Jay do this on purpose? Fun times. And y'all know Rih Rih had to get in a few "candids" leaving the party: Chick stays walking that fine line between night club and strip club.  Regardless...outfit is still hot.  And either that arm tat from a few days ago is hiding under a ridiculous amount of makeup...or it was all fake to begin with.
